Almost there...

I only have 1 more class this semester.  Then off to finals week.  This semester I have 3 finals, 2 playing/singing exams, 1 oral exam, and 1 huge project.  I am officially done at 3:49 on Thursday!! 

Then on Saturday Matt GRADUATES!!!  WOOHOO! 

Then 2 weeks.... AHHH!

Then a WONDERFUL week with NO TO-DO LIST at a beautiful beach house!!!!!!

IT'S OFFICIAL!

On Wednesday, April 20th, I got out of class at 11:50 and saw that I had 3 or 4 missed calls from Matt along with a few texts.  When I called him back he asked:

"Amy, How do you feel about being married to a pharmacist?"

Matt was officially accepted into the University of Iowa's School of Pharmacy for this fall.  This is extremely exciting since he has been going back and forth between applying and waiting and taking tests and waiting for the past 2 years.  I am so proud of him and know that he will make a wonderful pharmacist!

Also... Matt received 2 job offers today in Coralville/Iowa City.  He isn't sure which one he will take yet but it's exciting to have some more concrete provision from the Lord.

And... we signed a lease for our apartment for this summer.  It is in Coralville behind the mall and very close to both of Matt's job offers and where I have been applying for jobs.  Here's a few pictures of what it looks like right now with the current tenant living in it.

We are moving in May 15th and are very excited!  I'll post other pictures once we are in and settled!!!

Housing. A whirlwind...

Well... I thought that deciding where Matt and I would first call 'home' would be fun and exciting... but it has been a roller coaster instead!  Although we still do not know whether he has gotten into Pharmacy school yet, we are making plans to live in Iowa City... hopefully these plans do not need to change yet another time.

First discussion: Find a quaint little apartment to rent for the next few years during school.
Second discussion: Move in with Mike and Lianne (Matt's brother and sister-in-law) right after the honeymoon.
Third discussion: (Since Mike and Lianne weren't going to move in to their new house till Oct) Sublease an apt till October. (This was VERY difficult to find.)
Fourth discussion: WE DON'T HAVE ANY MONEY.  So we should live on the streets. :)
Fifth discussion: (Mike and Lianne are now moving in June 10th) Get an extended stay hotel for 2 weeks and move in when Mike and Lianne do.
Sixth discussion: Sublease a duplex in Coralville for June and July then move in with Mike and Lianne August 1st.  DECISION MADE!!! 

EXCEPT:  the duplex fell through... NOW WHAT?!?

Seventh discussion: We are tired of thinking... let's just take whatever is open to sublet and do it.  SOOO...

FINAL HOUSING PLANS (as of now):
May 14th: Move into Green Meadow Court Apartments.  Live here until July 31st.
August 1st: Move into Mike and Lianne's BEAUTIFUL new house!

And now we just have to agree on how much shopping Amy is allowed to do on craigslist!
