An Afternoon at Starbucks!
So today, when the week was over and classes were done, 2 of my music friends (Adam and Emma) decided to go to Starbucks to get some amazing little coffee drinks. It was the perfect day for it because it had been raining all day and had the cool breeze and smell of autumn. So we all sat down with our raspberry white chocolate mochas or chai lattes, but weren't really planning on staying very long. Soon we looked at the clock and it had been two hours. Where did the time go? We had gotten into very intense conversations such as abortion, homosexuality, music's effect on humans, synesthesia, different aspects of teaching in school, and many other deep discussions. It was a ton of fun and we decided to do this once a month. I am so excited to see how the Lord uses these talks and see our relationships grow deeper. It was such a blessing to have an afternoon like this one. A perfect autumn afternoon at Starbucks!

First Time for Everything!!
So today I led my first warm up session with my students at my Level 1 Field Experience school. Pretty fun! Nothing big but it was kinda fun! I also read them math lessons for homeroom and then sang for them right before I left. It was pretty fun!
And it's been pretty rainy lately which I usually wouldn't like BUT...for the first time I'm loving it! (well I usually kinda like rain but not as much as I am right now) I love how it just gives a warm and relaxed feeling when you are inside at least or how peaceful it is to listen to or how fun it is to walk and twirl my umbrella as I walk to class! :) It's quite fun. And the other day, because it was raining, Matt had to come pick me up from class in his car and we had a mini 2 minute date!
So I'm LOVING the rain and I'm loving my field experience! What a Wonderful Life!

A Marathon Sunday...
So it has begun and it's not even finals yet. Yesterday Matt and I got to the library at 11:30 am and didn't leave till 12:00 p.m. That's 12.5 hours!!! We did take 30 mins for supper and I took 45 minutes for a Navigators party later in the night, but still that would be 11 hours and 15 minutes. We did homework the entire time and the funny thing is... we didn't even get done! O wow... Homework... I will conquer you... someday that is!

Paint... WHAT?!?
And the house is PAINTED!!! lalalalala...hehehehe?!?
My parents have been working SOOO hard and I am super-de-duper-ly proud of them! The front still needs to be sided and painted but the other three sides are basically done. The trim still needs to be painted another color but basically it is painted! WAH HOO!
So here are some sweet pictures...
The south side of the house, almost completely done.

The front of the house looking pretty ready for some siding.
The north side all spiffed up and everything!
The back, which is my favorite part!!!

Bible Study...
So I am one of four people in charge of freshman bible studies in one section of the dorms on campus. So far it has been very successful. We have had about 8-9 girls every week and 7ish boys. We did the first few studies together with all the boys and girls so that everyone could get to know each other better but this week we split into boys and girls. Then sometime in the next few weeks, we will split once again into smaller groups of only girls or only guys. Right now we are just going through a 'basic' bible study that outlines the Christian faith and what a relationship with the Lord really truly looks like. Then after that we are going to be going through The Practice Of Godliness by Jerry Bridges, which is such a good book. I have already been going through it with my other bible study that I am in and not leading.
I am very excited to see what God is going to do in the hearts of these girls. They are all so cool and really eager to learn. We have had some great conversations already and it's going to be a great year!!!

My New School...
So today I had orientation for my Level 1 Field Experience for this summer. This is where I go to a school in the area and observe and get to help a teacher with whatever. I was placed in a Middle School Choir Room and met my choir teacher that I will be following around this entire semester today. She seems SOOO cool and is really interested in letting me be a part of as many things as possible and also helping me with whatever. She was so cute as she showed me around the whole school and introduced me to all of her teacher friends. And then she brought me into her room, which is ADORABLE, and told me everything that they are doing right now. She and I played some fun computer music games as she introduced me to some of the new technology that they are using. It was so fun and I am very very excited to get to lead some of the classes and make up my own activities to do in the class. So that's some of what I wil lbe doing this semester at my 'new school!'
